PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT - Maintenance Technician
The City of Pine Island is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Technician within the Streets/Parks Department. Under the direction of the Public Works Director performs manual labor, operates, and maintains equipment as required to provide general maintenance to City streets, utilities, buildings, and parks.
Required Qualifications: A Class B Driver’s License within 6 months of hire (with air brake endorsement). Desired qualifications include the ability to operate various pieces of maintenance equipment, knowledge in street, utility, and park maintenance procedures, mechanical and welding experience, and the ability to perform heavy manual work. Demonstrated ability to work with the public, and other city staff. Must be a self-starter. Will rotate on-call hours including weekends. High School Diploma, or equivalent.
