City of Pine Island
Starting Thursday, March 19th 2020, the City of Pine Island will be closing to the public. This will include City Hall, the License Bureau, Public Works Shop and Wastewater Treatment Facility. City employees will still be reporting to work and we will be operating through phone and email.
Please contact us to conduct any city business and we will be more than happy to accommodate you.
The license bureau will NOT be operational during this time.

While we are closed to the public at the moment, we are happy to offer the following services to our patrons.
- Ebooks & EAudiobooks through Overdrive and its Libby app.
- Curbside Pickup - Request specific items online, email us at email@example.com or call the library at 507-356-8558. If you don't know exactly what you want, but know you want a book from a specific genre, let us know and we will do our best to pick something out for you.
- Online activities and projects - Library staff will be posting interesting virtual field trips, crafting ideas, and other activities to help you keep from getting too stir crazy! Check out our Facebook page to see what we are finding.
- Visit the Little Free Library by the Pine Island Pool to grab a book without a due date!
Library staff will be available from 10-6, Monday-Friday (starting 3/19) to answer any questions and provide curbside services.
We are limiting public contact with our public works department. We are asking the public to refrain from stopping into our public works buildings and to handle correspondence through phone calls if at all possible.

We are also asking the public to NOT FLUSH PAPER TOWELS, MOIST TOWELETTES, BABY WIPES, KLEENEX, DIAPERS, OR ANY OTHER PRODUCT OTHER THAN TOILET PAPER.
Is drinking water safe:
Many systems have received calls asking if COVID-19 can be transmitted via drinking water. COVID-19 is not a waterborne disease and both EPA and CDC have addressed this in the following links:

The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office and the Pine Island Fire Department have put into place continuity operations and are working diligently to continue to serve and protect Pine Island.

Dollar General - Hours of operation - 8am - 8pm / 8:00am - 9:00am Reserved for elderly or highly susceptible people.
Olmsted Medical - Normal hours by appointment only - Covid-19 Testing Not Available
Pine Island Lumber - Effective March 20th Modified hours M-F 7am to 5pm, Office and show room will be closed to walk in traffic, All deliveries will be made and dropped in your drive. Employees will not enter your home. Please call your order in ahead of time for in yard pickup, credit card sales only. Staff will not visit job sites or in home until further notice.
Lets Go Tacos - 3/18-3/27 Modified menu & hours 4-7pm take out only, call in order check website and facebook for more info.

Seinor Center - Meals are still being provided for pick up and Meals on Wheels, no congregate dining at the senior center.
Kwik Trip - Self serve food will be unavailable - Roller Dogs, Bakery Case, Nacho & Chille Machine, Soup Bar.
